Targeted Drug Delivery System


On a specific location, the injection of a pharmacologically active drug having no effect on untargeted tissues and organ is called targeted medicine delivery. It gives advantage in cancer chemotherapy and enzyme replacement therapy. Some examples are: micro-spheres, noisome, Released Erythrocytes, liposomes and monoclonal antibodies.
